BoxPlotR: a web tool for generation of box plots

Sunday, September 21st, 2014

They published a paper on a web tool to generate box plots !! http://www.nature.com/nmeth/journal/v11/n2/full/nmeth.2811.html QT:{{”
Despite the obvious advantages of the box plot for simultaneous representation of data set and statistical parameters, this method is not in common use, in part because few available software tools allow the facile generation of box plots. For example, the standard spreadsheet tool Excel is unable to generate box plots.

The Transcription Factor Titration Effect Dictates Level of Gene Expression

Interesting study looking at the effect of gene duplication on TF binding
"…when a TF is shared among many binding sites, either due to multiple identical copies of a gene regulated by that TF or due to unrelated genes that also independently bind the TF, the correlation in occupancy between the binding sites will lead to a complex dosage response to that TF." http://www.cell.com/abstract/S0092-8674(14)00221-9
